Mirfield occurs as town in West Yorkshire, England, near Dewsbury. These are on the highway between Huddersfield, Dewsbury and Wakefield.

A 13th century St. Mary's Church was rebuilt by Sir George Gilbert Scott.

These are a birthplace of Patrick Stewart, who plays Captain Jean-Luc Picard in Star Trek: The Next Generation, and of cyclist Brian Robinson, the 1st Briton ever to win the stage of the Tour de France.

Roger Moore of James Bond fame was once the resident of the village.

Schools within Mirfield include: Mirfield Free Grammar, Castlehall, Battyeford & Crossley Fields (erst Wellhouse).

A Mirfield Theological College was in which Rowan Williams, the Archbishop of Canterbury lectured from 1976 for ii years. Archbishop Trevor Huddleston spent his last days within Mirfield at a Community of the Resurrection.
